Power & Rebirth Decision Guide

Use this measurement-and-break-even method to compare recovery cost with observed before-and-after Power rates for one target, then open the matching calculator mode. Rebirth is faster only when its total time is shorter than continuing.

Decision rule

Compare total minutes—not the multiplier alone

continue = (target − current Power) ÷ current Power/minrebirth = recovery min + (target − new starting Power) ÷ new Power/min

The smaller valid total reaches that target first. This method does not assume any hidden multiplier or fixed best threshold.

Fast answer

A nearby goal often favors continuing

A far target gives the faster post-rebirth rate more time to repay its reset cost. A nearby target may finish before that recovery is earned back.

Compare my paths
Five-step method

Build a comparison you can repeat

Keep the target identical and make each rate represent the same length and style of play.

  1. 01

    Choose one target

Use the Power requirement currently visible for the evolution, enemy, or world goal you care about.

  2. 02

    Measure the continue path

Keep the setup unchanged and record Power gained during one representative minute.

  3. 03

    Describe the rebirth path

Use an observed or deliberate what-if starting Power and post-rebirth Power-per-minute rate.

  4. 04

    Count recovery

Include the reset action, interface time, travel, re-equipping, and every minute before the new rate is sustainable.

  5. 05

    Compare and remeasure

Run both paths for the same target, then repeat after any pet, pass, zone, boost, or update changes the conditions.

Input check

What each number must mean

A

Current path

Current Power and sustainable Power gained per minute without changing the setup.

B

Rebirth path

Starting Power after reset and sustainable Power per minute after recovery.

C

Recovery cost

All reset, UI, travel, setup, and ramp-up minutes before path B reaches its stated pace.

Do not guess

Post-rebirth rate unavailable?

Wait for an observed comparable run, or label the input as a deliberate scenario. A guessed multiplier can reverse the decision.

Common mistake

Comparing two different targets

Both paths must end at the same Power target. Changing the target, setup, or timing window makes the result unsuitable for a path decision.

FAQ

Rebirth questions

What is the best Power to rebirth at?

No universal threshold is publicly listed. The useful point depends on the target, both measured rates, starting Power after reset, and recovery time.

Does rebirth always reach the next target faster?

No. A better post-rebirth pace can still lose when the target is close or recovery takes too long.

Should travel and setup time count?

Yes. Count every minute between choosing rebirth and reaching the sustainable post-rebirth pace used in the comparison.

When should the numbers be measured again?

Remeasure after a pet, pass, zone, boost, rebirth, or game update changes the setup.
